AIC Kongowea is a congregation under the African Inland Church (AIC), dedicated to spreading the Gospel and impacting lives through biblical teaching, prayer, worship, and community outreach.

Church History

Founded to serve the spiritual needs of the Kongowea community, AIC Kongowea has continued to grow as a center of faith, hope, and transformation.

2005

Humble Beginnings

AIC Kongowea was founded as a small fellowship meeting in a member's home, with just 15 faithful believers gathering for prayer and Bible study.

2010

First Church Building

The congregation acquired land and constructed the first permanent church building, accommodating over 200 worshippers.

2015

Ministry Expansion

Launched Youth, Women, and Children's ministries, reaching more families and young people in the community.

2020

Digital Outreach

Adapted to online services during challenging times, reaching a global audience through live streaming.

2024

Community Impact

Launched extensive community outreach programs, including food distribution, medical camps, and education support.

Meet the dedicated leaders guiding AIC Kongowea

Rev. Dr. Samuel Mwangi

Senior Pastor

Rev. Dr. Samuel Mwangi has been serving as the Senior Pastor of AIC Kongowea since 2012. He holds a Doctorate in Ministry from Nairobi Evangelical Graduate School of Theology and has over 25 years of pastoral experience. He is passionate about expository preaching, discipleship, and community transformation. Together with his wife, Pastor Esther, they have three children and are committed to raising a generation of faithful believers.
